What is the initial qualification (code 95)?
In the EU, professional drivers in commercial freight transport need an initial qualification under the German Professional Drivers Qualification Act (BKrFQG). It is entered as code 95 on the driving licence and is mandatory for drivers of trucks over 3.5 tonnes in commercial transport.
Without this qualification it is not possible to work as a commercial truck driver in Germany.
